Choosing the Right Target for You

Here you can see a chart displaying different firearms and target ratings. These are recommendations to get the best life out of your AR500 steel target. If you are unable to properly assess the target you are looking for or wanting to shoot, please contact us.

Safety Information

1. Minimum distances from steel targets to shooter are 12 yards for handguns and 100 yards for rifles. We recommend the shooter and spectator wear proper eye and hearing protection during use.

2. Targets should be angled down or free swinging to avoid any ricochets. Ricochets are not common, but when you misuse the product, they can occur.

3. Shooters should avoid using any armor piercing rounds, green tip or steel core ammunition when shooting AR500 steel. Shooting rounds over 2850 FPS with cause pitting regardless of the thickness of AR500 steel you use. We recommend ball ammo when shooting AR500 steel for the best life of your shooting target.

4. Buyer assumes all responsibility for the use and misuse of the targets and accessories purchased.
